Siemens to manufacture high-speed trains for Brightline West

Brightline has announced today that Siemens Mobility (Siemens) has been selected as the “preferred bidder” to construct train sets for the Brightline West high-speed rail project, linking Las Vegas and Southern California. The contract encompasses the production and delivery of ten “American Pioneer 220” (AP 220) train sets to Nevada, with testing slated to align with Brightline West’s goal of commencing service by 2028.
