At DB Cargo, simulated failure still feels like … failure

It’s been the talk of the internet. RailTech.com was let loose in the cab of a DB Cargo UK Class 66 workhorse locomotive. We proved that driving a train is a job anyone can do … badly. Four minutes into our ‘career’ and we managed to block the East Coast Main Line just outside of Harringay station, a few miles out of King’s Cross. Fortunately, for everyone travelling out of London’s famous terminus, the embarrassing failure was confined to the astonishingly lifelike simulator at the company’s newly commissioned training centre.
