UK Island Line closure this summer

The only off-shore self-contained railway in the British Isles faces a temporary closure. The line on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England, requires immediate maintenance work. The whole Island Line, between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin, will close from Friday 6 September to Sunday 6 October.
