French letter of intent for Melbourne trams

Transdev and John Holland Group have signed a joint deal to manage Yarra Trams, the public transport network in Melbourne. Transdev, the Paris-based public transport management specialists, and John Holland, the Australian infrastructure contractors, will manage the biggest tram system in the world. The competitive tender was won for a contract value of €4.2 billion, for an initial operation and maintenance term of nine years.
