A grand plan has been announced to link by rail the three nations that share the island of Borneo. Except, it won’t. Not according to the government in the smallest of those three nations, Brunei. However, that’s not the story from Kuala Lumpur, where the Malaysian government says it is going ahead with a feasibility study. All that leaves the biggest potential partner nation, Indonesia with a puzzle to complete.
