Indian Railways (IR) has cancelled a massive tender worth 300 billion rupees (3.27 billion euros) with French industrial giant Alstom for 100 new state-of-the-art Vande Bharat trains. The deal’s breakdown follows a dispute over pricing, but it means IR will soon be open to new bids for the high-tech vehicles.
