European Sleeper: A’dam-Barca night train may be delayed to 2027 – CEO
European Sleeper, the Lowlands’ private night train operator, had planned to launch a new service between Amsterdam and Barcelona in 2025. But due to “significant challenges”, the company announced last month that the service would have to be pushed back to 2026. At the time, European Sleeper’s CEO said this was, in part, due to “incompetence” at SNCF. Now he tells RailTech that this date could be extended to 2027.
