Spain’s transport minister livid after Ouigo offers 10,000 one-euro tickets

The battle for budget rail in Spain continues. French high-speed train operator Ouigo has launched an offer of 10,000 tickets at just one euro, much to the anger of Transport Minister Óscar Puente. And it’s not the first time it’s happened. So while the EU is singing the praises of Spain’s move into rail liberalisation, there clearly appears to be some teething pains.
