More Belarusian train stations covered with Wi-Fi

Belarusian Railway continues to equip the country’s train stations with free Wi-Fi. The wireless internet became accessible for passengers at 33 stations and stops. Most of them are located in Minsk and Gomel regions.

To connect to the wireless internet, the passengers should register. The access to the network is provided via SMS code. In general, the number of Belarusian train stations and stops covered with Wi-Fi has increased up to 54. The wireless connection is supplied by mobile operator MTS Belarus.

Active users

In 2017 Belarusian Railway has started to install Wi-Fi on 19 main train stations including Minsk-Pasažyrski, Gomel, Brest, Vitebsk and others. Later, Wi-Fi was launched at two train stops. Afterwards, more than 650 thousand people used the wireless internet. Only in April around 72 thousand passengers connected to Wi-Fi. The most active users of the wireless internet are captures in the country’s largest cities – Minsk, Brest and Gomel.
