German rail technology company Vossloh has signed two multi-year framework agreements for supplying switch components to Sweden and Italy. The total price of both deals is 100 million Euros.

The Swedish agreement provides the delivery of switch components to the country’s rail infrastructure manager Trafikverket during the four-year period. The deal valued at 75 million Euros includes two options for extensions of two years each.

“We are pleased that the renewed trust Trafikverket placed in Vossloh will allow us to continue our successful cooperation with them. The renewed contract is a sign of the reliability of our products”, said Andreas Busemann, CEO of Vossloh. The switch components for Trafikverket will be produced by the Vossloh’s Customized Modules division in Sweden.

Italian agreement

The second agreement was concluded with Italian state-owned rail company Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) for the two-year term. The Italian deal is worth 25 million Euros. The components for high-speed turnouts will be manufactured by the Vossloh’s Customized Modules division in France. “We are very pleased that RFI has placed its trust in us. These framework agreements will enable Vossloh to sustain our well-established market position in Italy”, noted Andreas Busemann.
