Belgian provider of autonomous technology for rail OTIV earlier this month began the deployment of its OTIV.ONE solution for shunting operations with the SNCF Group’s Rail Logistics Europe (RLE) division. The camera-based sensor suite gives the train driver the full ability to safely carry out the shunting movements of a pushed convoy from the cabin or via remote control. RailTech spoke to OTIV co-founder Sam De Smet and business development and partnership manager Guillaume Hendrickx about the technology and the deployment with RLE.
