The modernisation of line 14 marks the first migration from an automated driverless metro line to the latest-generation automated GoA4 'Trainguard MT CBTC' driverless system.

Siemens Mobility and RATP (Régie autonome des transports Parisiens) have successfully modernised and extended the automated line 14 of the Paris metro. This world first marks the first migration from an automated (GoA4 – Degree of Automation) driverless metro line to the latest-generation automated GoA4 ‘Trainguard MT CBTC’ driverless system.
